Kevin is a Cuddlefish, a type of alien creature in the game Subnautica. He first appears in the nineteenth episode of the full release "THE BEST CREATURE IN SUBNAUTICA."

General

Cuddlefish are a friendly type of fauna that can only be found by finding one of the creature eggs in the environment and hatching it in alien containment. It is known to be friendly to the player and can do many things, such as playing, giving it commands and even giving a high five.

The cuddlefish appears to be ambiguous in gender.

Family

Kevin is the first Cuddlefish hatched by Jack. He has stated that this makes Kevin the older brother of his second Cuddlefish, Carly. He later finds two more Cuddlefish and deems them to be Kevin and Carly's younger siblings; Jack names them Clint and Clara.

THE BEST CREATURE IN SUBNAUTICA (Part 19)

Jack first got to know Kevin after the viewers told him about the Cuddlefish and asked him to find the egg. He did so and placed the egg in an alien containment tank in his base. After hatching, Jack immediately became smitten by the creature's looks and decided to name him Kevin due to Jack liking to name things with alliteration.

OPERATION: GIANT AQUARIUM (Part 20)

Whilst driving around in Sally in an attempt to find Creature eggs for his giant aquarium, Jack accidentally bumps into Kevin, much to his shock. He climbs out of Sally to check on Kevin, although the creature is unharmed.

THERE'S MORE OF THEM!? (Part 30)

After the fanbase inform Jack about more Cuddlefish eggs, he finds two more hidden and hatches them in his alien containment tank. They become Kevin and Carly's younger siblings.
