Set in a post-apocalyptic world, the player controls a nameless protagonist who is tasked with staying alive. By scavenging for food, keys and items, the player can use these to solve puzzles. There are two-way mirrors that act as a teleport to the character's apartment, which serves as a hub.
The player has to return food to the hub, as well as sleep. Sleeping reduces the character going mad and also saves progress. Lack of sleep can be prevented for a limited time by using pills, the negative being it will affect the character, but the positive lets the player hallucinate so more items spawn inside their backpack.
The player's character needs to explore more of the world in order to receive more items; some cannot be reached until some of those items are used up causing other areas to stay locked until the player finds the requested items.
