Sam is Jacksepticeye's first dog in his Minecraft series. His first appearance was in episode two I Got A DOG In Minecraft.

General

Jack first spotted Sam in a forest and returned with him to his Irish Castle via boat, where Jack immediately named him.

Sam usually stayed behind in the castle and awaited Jack's return from his explorations. The colour of his collar changed four times due to Jack finding an unsuitable choice: first was red, then yellow, blue and finally green.

In episode twelve I Got My Dog A GIRLFRIEND In Minecraft, Jack intended to find Sam a partner, which he eventually did, named Saoirse.

In episode thirteen The WORST thing has happened in Minecraft, Sam and Saoirse bred together to make a wolf pup. Unfortunately in the same episode, while attempting to lead the trio to meet Pádraig, Saoirse and the unnamed pup drowned, leaving Jack distraught.

In episode twenty four SECRET Underground Stronghold In Minecraft?, Jack found Sam a second girlfriend, who he named Síocháin, a derivative from the first Saoirse. Later in the same episode, the pair mated to have a pup, who is Sam's second son, whom Jack named Samson.

In episode thirty, I Built An UNLIMITED XP Farm In Minecraft, Síocháin and Sam unexpectedly mated to have a second unnamed pup.

Jack's 'army' of dogs

In episode thirty one, Making An Army of DOGS In Minecraft, Jack created an underground 'frick chamber' for Sam and Síocháin's unnamed pup and his girlfriend to mass produce puppies. The end result delighted him. A second chamber was designated for villagers in the hope that they will also reproduce.
