South Park: The Stick of Truth is a role-playing video game, developed by Obsidian Entertainment along with Trey Parker and Matt Stone and published by Ubisoft. It is based upon the American TV series of the same name.
Game information[]
The Stick of Truth follows an unnamed protagonist, known only as the 'New Kid' (eventually referred to as 'Douchebag' by the other characters) arrives in South Park with his parents. Encouraged to go outside and play, he meets Butters who leads him to the Kingdom of Kupa Keep at Cartman's house. There, the New Kid is informed of a battle between Kupa Keep and the Elven Kingdom, who is lead by Kyle Broflovski, over 'the stick of truth', which is rumored to contain great power.
The player controls the New Kid as they are allowed to choose from four classes - Fighter, Thief, Mage or Jew - each with their own abilities, providing melee and range attacks, as well as magical farts. The player can also side with a buddy in combat, which is unlocked over the course of the game.
The New Kid can explore South Park to whichever location they want, until some are locked until the player reaches a specific point or side mission within the game. The player also meets a bunch of characters from the TV show, such as Mr. Mackey, Jimbo and Ned and Randy Marsh, Stan Marsh's father.
